As part of the country’s efforts to simplify entry procedures, the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is now a mandatory pre-arrival requirement for most foreign nationals, including Indian travelers. This digital form helps streamline immigration clearance and must be completed before arriving in Malaysia.

The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card is an online pre-arrival form required by Malaysia’s immigration authorities. All travelers (except Malaysian citizens and permanent residents) must submit the MDAC within 3 days before arrival into the country. It collects essential traveler information, such as passport details, travel dates, and destination in Malaysia.

1. All foreign travelers, including Indian citizens
2. Travelers entering via air, land, or sea
3. Exemptions: Malaysian citizens and permanent residents

1. The MDAC must be completed within 3 days before your scheduled entry into Malaysia.
2. Example: If you’re arriving on 10th May, you can submit anytime from 7th May onwards.

When filling the MDAC, you’ll need to provide:

1. Full name and nationality
2. Passport number and expiry date
3. Arrival and departure dates
4. Mode of travel (air, land, sea)
5. Address in Malaysia

Visit the official Malaysia Digital Arrival Card portal and fill in your travel details. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email. It is recommended to print or save a digital copy to show at immigration, if requested.

1. Submitting the MDAC does not replace a visa. You must have a valid visa (if required) to enter Malaysia.
2. Failure to submit the MDAC can lead to delays or denial of entry at the Malaysian border.
